Refund & Cancellation Policy

(For Users / Customers on SEEme)

This Refund & Cancellation Policy for Users (Customers) governs refunds, cancellations, and grievance handling for services booked on SEEme, owned and operated by Sparklink Media & Services Pvt. Ltd.

This policy forms an integral part of SEEme’s Terms & Conditions and User Policies & Community Guidelines.

By booking or availing any service on SEEme, the User (Customer) expressly agrees to this policy.

1. Contravention of Laws by Professional

If it is conclusively established, after internal investigation, that an Expert / Professional / Service Provider / Associate has acted in contravention of applicable laws, SEEme may issue a full refund to the User.

All refunds under this clause are subject to verification and approval by SEEme.

2. Abusive or Misconduct by User

If a Professional discontinues or disconnects a session due to abusive, inappropriate, threatening, or unethical behaviour by the User, no refund shall be granted.

Such cases shall be reviewed by SEEme’s Admin Panel, whose decision shall be final and binding.

3. Personal or Off-Platform Queries (Strictly Prohibited)

Users must not request or solicit:

  • Personal contact details

  • Social media handles

  • Direct meetings or physical addresses

  • Off-platform pricing or payment details

  • Any communication unrelated to the booked category

Violation may result in immediate session termination without refund.

4. Professional Non-Response / Unresponsiveness

A User may request a refund only if:

  • The Professional fails to respond within five (5) minutes of the scheduled start time, or

  • The Professional remains unresponsive for more than five (5) minutes during an active session

Refunds under this clause are subject to verification by SEEme.

5. User-Initiated Cancellation

a) Cancellation Within 0–12 Hours Before Appointment

  • 50% refund of the booking amount

b) Cancellation More Than 12 Hours Before Appointment

  • 75% refund of the booking amount

Applicable platform or payment gateway charges may be deducted.

6. Cancellation by Professional / Associate

If a Professional cancels a confirmed appointment at any time before the scheduled session, the User shall receive a 100% refund.

7. Consultation Summary / Written Solution (Category-Specific & Limited)

7.1 Doctors

  • Providing a consultation summary and/or prescription is mandatory

  • Failure to provide the same entitles the User to request a refund

  • No refund shall be granted if the summary or prescription has been provided

7.2 Teachers, Financial Experts, Digital Experts, and Lawyers

  • A written summary or solution may be provided only if the User explicitly requests it during or before the session

  • Providing such a summary is optional and not mandatory for these professionals

  • If the User does not request a written summary, no refund shall be entertained on this basis

7.3 All Other Categories

  • There is no obligation to provide any written summary, report, or documentation

  • Refunds shall not be granted for non-provision of summaries

8. Session Disconnection & Rejoin Policy (User-Side)

If a User disconnects a session during an ongoing consultation:

  • SEEme shall provide the User with a reasonable opportunity to rejoin the session

If the User fails to rejoin or explicitly refuses to rejoin the session:

  • The consultation shall be deemed successfully completed

  • No refund shall be initiated under any circumstances

9. Multiple or Misuse-Based Refund Requests

SEEme reserves the right to:

  • Reject refund requests

  • Restrict, suspend, or permanently block Users who misuse the refund mechanism

  • Take preventive measures to protect platform integrity

10. Time Limit to Flag Inadequate Consultation

All refund or grievance requests must be raised within 24 hours of consultation completion.

Requests made after this period shall not be considered.

11. Claim Refund / Grievance Process (In-App Only)

  • Refunds and grievances must be raised only through the "REFUND & CANCELLATION" section in the SEEme app menu

  • Requests through external channels will not be accepted

  • All claims are subject to internal review and approval

  • Approved refunds shall be processed within seven (7) working days

12. Inappropriate or Unethical Consultations

All concerns regarding inappropriate or unethical conduct shall be reviewed internally by SEEme.

Outcomes, including refunds or corrective actions, shall be determined solely by SEEme.

13. Final Authority & Refund Limitation

  • SEEme is not obligated to issue refunds except where expressly covered under this policy

  • All decisions shall be final, binding, and non-appealable

  • Maximum protection of platform interest shall prevail in case of ambiguity
